Online marketplace DealYard is poised to embrace greener, more environmentally friendly practices in celebration of Christmas. Because so many trees are cut down all over the world, DealYard is planning a spring tree-planting event to help protect the environment. In the meantime, the site is planning to jettison its season inventory over the next few weeks in order to find new merchandise that provides environmentally friendly alternatives to many other products currently on the market.
CEO of DealYard, Rob Heller, shares his thoughts: “Christmas is a time of year that brings back the most memories from childhood, and I think this is true for anyone who has celebrated the holiday for a long time. We share our love and appreciation for friends and family, and we just want them happy and safe. Getting together with the family, Christmas dinner, the sharing of gifts. It’s the perfect note on which to end the year, and I always look forward to it.”
It’s this Christmas tradition of sharing that gave Heller the idea of doing something more with his company. He wanted to make a difference and help protect the environment. The company will also be making donations to various soup kitchens and shelters around the country.
In order to celebrate Christmas and Heller’s aspirations of greener business practices, the company is providing sales on all sorts of environmentally friendly merchandise, and is also offering daily, weekly, and monthly deals on great winter products like electric blankets, heated mattress pads, and Christmas movies and DVDs.
Christmas is a great time of year to embrace cleaner, safer, and healthier practices as we share our love and kinship with friends and family all over the world. Christmas is about commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, who is considered by Christians to be their savior. That’s why DealYard has the annual tradition of protecting our environment, and you can be a part of that tradition too!
